Service Policies

The following policies govern the services provided by National Funeral Homes (“the Company”) to the families who entrust us with the care of their loved ones. By contracting any of our services, you agree to these policies in their entirety. We encourage you to read them carefully before formalizing any arrangements.
1. Company Information
National Funeral Homes is a licensed funeral company in the State of Florida, operating since 1994. We have three locations to serve you:
- National Funeral Homes Miami: 151 NW 37th Ave, Miami, FL 33125
- Auxiliadora National Funeral Home: 6871 Bird Rd, Miami, FL 33155
- National Funeral Homes Hollywood: 2830 N 28th Terrace, Hollywood, FL 33020

2. Arrangements and Service Contracts
All funeral services are formalized through a written contract signed by the legal responsible party (“the Authorizing Agent”). This contract specifies the selected services, agreed prices, and payment conditions. No service will be performed without a prior signed contract and corresponding authorization.
The Authorizing Agent declares under their responsibility that they have the legal right to dispose of the deceased's remains in accordance with Florida State law.
3. Pricing and Cost Transparency
National Funeral Homes complies with the FTC Funeral Rule, which requires full price transparency. You have the right to:
- Receive a General Price List (GPL) before any service discussion
- Select only the services you want, without any obligation to purchase complete packages
- Know the total cost before signing any contract
- Receive an itemized statement of all goods and services contracted
Prices may vary by location, selected products, and third-party charges (cemetery, crematory, florist, newspapers). These third-party charges will be itemized separately in the contract.
4. Payment Terms
Full payment for funeral services is required prior to or at the time of service delivery, unless a written financing plan has been agreed upon. We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Certified check or money order
- Life insurance assigned directly to the funeral home
- Approved financing plans (subject to eligibility)
5. Funeral Financing
We offer flexible financing options so that no family goes without the service they deserve. Financing plans are subject to approval and to the terms of a separately signed financing agreement. 6. Cancellation and Changes Policy
Once funeral services have begun, costs incurred are non-refundable. If changes are made to the original contract after service delivery has begun, additional costs will be the responsibility of the Authorizing Agent. Any cancellation must be submitted in writing and will be subject to the following conditions:
- Cancellation before service begins: the amount paid will be refunded less administrative costs and third-party costs already incurred.
- Cancellation after service has begun: no refunds will be issued for services already rendered.
- Prepaid plans: governed by the specific terms of the signed pre-arrangement contract.
7. International Repatriation Services
Repatriation services to Cuba, Latin America, and other international destinations are subject to additional regulations from destination country authorities, consulates, and international transport agencies. National Funeral Homes will act as coordinator of the process but cannot guarantee specific delivery timelines due to delays caused by foreign or customs authorities. The Authorizing Agent is responsible for providing all required documentation in a timely manner. For more details, see our repatriation page.
8. Funeral Products
All caskets, urns, and funeral products offered meet Florida State standards. We are not required to use only products sold by our company — you may purchase a casket or urn from a third party, provided it meets applicable health requirements. However, we assume no responsibility for defects in externally purchased products. Product prices are listed in our General Price List available at any of our locations.
9. Direct Cremation
Direct cremation is performed without a prior viewing or religious service. Once cremation has been authorized in writing by the legal responsible party and Florida State requirements have been met (mandatory waiting period), the service proceeds. Ashes are delivered in a basic urn included in the price. Home delivery or shipment of ashes to other cities or countries is available at an additional charge. Once cremation has taken place, the process is irreversible.
10. Pre-Arrangements and Prepaid Plans
Pre-arrangement funeral contracts are regulated by the State of Florida, and funds are deposited in a protected trust account as required by law. Benefits and conditions are guaranteed per the terms of the signed contract. If death occurs outside the service area, additional transportation charges will apply. 11. Limitation of Liability
National Funeral Homes shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from delays caused by third parties, weather conditions, strikes, government restrictions, or other causes beyond our reasonable control. Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the services actually contracted and paid.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These policies are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, including the Florida Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services Act (Chapter 497, Florida Statutes). Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly with our company will be submitted to mediation or arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida, before pursuing legal action.

13. Modifications to These Policies
National Funeral Homes reserves the right to update these policies at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on this website. Contracts already signed will be governed by the policies in effect at the date of signing.
